Post-Election Conference

For our first post-election event we are going to Leeds for an afternoon of thinking about and discussing the outcomes of the election and what we want to see happen next in the Party for women's representation. There will be a panel of interesting women talking about the election itself, workshops about future directions, and a guest keynote speaker. You don't have to be an LWN member to attend (although we'd love it if you'd join!) and the event is open to women from anywhere in the country, not just Yorkshire.
The 2017 general election has produced a historic level of Labour women MPs - 119, or 45% of the PLP. But we still have a way to go. Women's participation in local government is not as high as we'd like it to be (particularly at leadership levels) and the culture of the Party is still not what we'd want it to be. This afternoon of discussion will help us to set our priorities for the future and help you to be part of them.
We'll be announcing speakers shortly, but, in the meantime, the sooner you book the better since space is limited.
Tickets are £10 each. We look forward to seeing you there!
Please note: if you live in Yorkshire & the Humber, and want to attend the Yorkshire Women's Conference in the morning, you can book for both events here.
